Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding, fitting, and turning work as per technical drawings and instructions.
- Operate workshop machines such as lathe machines, drilling machines, grinders, and cutting tools.
- Carry out fabrication, installation, and repair of mechanical parts and equipment.
- Ensure proper alignment, fitting, and assembly of machine components.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow safety procedures and company guidelines during all operations.
- Assist senior engineers and supervisors during maintenance activities.
- Maintain daily work records and report any defects or issues to supervisors.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of welding techniques (Arc, Gas, MIG, TIG preferred).
- Basic knowledge of lathe operations and mechanical fitting.
- Ability to read technical drawings and measurements.
- Good understanding of industrial tools and machinery.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in shifts and handle physical work.
