Mandatory Requirement
Candidates must have prior experience in material procurement within the Civil Construction Industry. Applications from candidates with procurement experience in other industries (Manufacturing, FMCG, Retail, Automobile, etc.) will not be considered.
Education
- B.E. (Civil) with 3–4 years of relevant experience, or
- Diploma in Civil Engineering with 5–7 years of relevant experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan, negotiate, and procure all construction materials as per the project schedule.
- Ensure timely availability of quality materials at project sites to avoid execution delays.
- Develop, evaluate, and onboard new vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
- Obtain competitive quotations, prepare comparative statements, and negotiate the best commercial terms.
- Coordinate with project, store, and accounts teams for smooth procurement operations.
- Monitor material dispatches, deliveries, and inventory requirements.
- Verify material requirements against actual site consumption and identify discrepancies.
- Ensure all purchased materials comply with approved specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain purchase records, vendor database, and procurement documentation.
- Continuously identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality.
Key Skills Required
- In-depth knowledge of civil construction materials and market rates.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project timelines.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/software-based procurement systems will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹429,709.50 - ₹559,595.33 per year
