Job Summary
The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to inpatients and emergency cases, ensuring timely assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and coordination with consultants. The RMO supports patient safety, quality care, clinical documentation, and compliance with hospital policies while ensuring continuous medical coverage.

Key Responsibilities
1. Patient Assessment & Clinical Care
* Assess, examine, and manage patients admitted to the hospital.
* Perform detailed history taking and physical examinations.
* Develop and implement treatment plans under consultant supervision.
* Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as required.
* Provide emergency medical care and stabilize critically ill patients.
* Ensure timely referral to specialists when indicated.
2. Emergency & Critical Care
* Respond promptly to medical emergencies, including Code Blue situations.
* Perform Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) procedures.
* Manage trauma, medical, and surgical emergencies.
* Coordinate emergency admissions and transfers.
* Participate in rapid response team activities.
3. Clinical Procedures
* Perform procedures such as:
* IV cannulation
* Central venous line assistance
* Arterial blood sampling
* Foley catheterization
* Nasogastric tube insertion
* Suturing and wound management
* Basic airway management
* ECG interpretation
* Basic life-saving procedures
4. Medication Management
* Prescribe medications according to hospital guidelines.
* Monitor drug efficacy and adverse reactions.
* Ensure rational antibiotic use.
* Verify medication orders and patient allergies.
* Promote safe medication practices.
5. Patient Monitoring
* Monitor vital signs and laboratory investigations.
* Review imaging and diagnostic reports.
* Identify early signs of patient deterioration.
* Escalate care promptly to consultants when required.
6. Documentation
* Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
* Complete admission notes, progress notes, discharge summaries, and death summaries.
* Document procedures, consent, and clinical decisions.
* Ensure medico-legal documentation complies with hospital policies.
7. Communication & Coordination
* Participate in consultant ward rounds.
* Communicate effectively with patients and their families.
* Coordinate care with nursing staff, pharmacists, laboratory personnel, and allied health professionals.
* Ensure smooth handover during shift changes.
8. Infection Prevention & Patient Safety
* Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols.
* Follow hand hygiene and PPE guidelines.
* Report adverse events, medication errors, and sentinel events.
* Participate in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
9. Quality & Compliance
* Ensure compliance with NABH, hospital policies, and clinical protocols.
* Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement projects.
* Assist in accreditation activities.
* Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
10. Teaching & Professional Development
* Participate in Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs.
* Assist in training interns, junior doctors, and nursing staff.
* Stay updated with current clinical guidelines and evidence-based practices.

Qualifications
* MBBS from a recognized medical college.
* Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC)/State Medical Council.
* BLS certification (Mandatory).
* ACLS certification (Preferred).

Experience
* Fresh MBBS graduates or 1–3 years of experience as an RMO/Junior Resident.
* Experience in emergency medicine or critical care is an added advantage.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 per month
