KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Production Planning & Execution
- Allocate daily jobs to CNC Lathe, VMC, and HMC machines.
- Ensure production targets and delivery schedules are met.
- Monitor machine utilization and reduce downtime.
- Track hourly and daily production output.
- Ensure smooth shift handovers.
- Shop Floor Supervision
- Supervise CNC Operators, Setters, and Helpers.
- Maintain discipline and productivity on the shop floor.
- Conduct shift meetings and daily production reviews.
- Ensure proper manpower deployment.
- Quality Control
- Ensure components are manufactured as per drawings and specifications.
- Monitor rejection and rework levels.
- Coordinate with QA department for inspections.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
- Machine & Tool Management
- Monitor machine performance and breakdowns.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance activities.
- Ensure proper tooling, fixtures, and measuring instruments are available.
- Optimize tool life and machining parameters.
- Safety & 5S Implementation
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and PPE usage.
- Conduct safety awareness sessions.
- Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards in the CNC department.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain production reports and machine utilization records.
- Update Daily, Weekly, and Monthly production reports.
- Monitor OEE, rejection, downtime, and productivity metrics.
- Report daily production status to management.
- Continuous Improvement
- Implement Kaizen and process improvement initiatives.
- Reduce cycle time and setup time.
- Improve productivity and machine efficiency.
- Support cost reduction activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.
- 5–8 years experience in CNC machining operations.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory role.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- CNC Turning & Milling Operations.
- Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi Controls.
- CNC Programming Basics.
