Production Engineer
Experience
- 1–2 Years (Fabrication Industry Preferred)
Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical or Production Engineering
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets.
- Supervise fabrication, welding, assembly, and finishing activities on the shop floor.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, BOMs, and production schedules.
- Ensure products are manufactured as per quality standards and customer specifications.
- Coordinate with Quality, Design, Purchase, and Stores departments for smooth production flow.
- Monitor manpower utilization, machine availability, and material requirements.
- Prepare daily production reports and update production progress.
- Identify production issues and implement corrective actions to improve productivity.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE usage, and 5S practices.
- Minimize rework, rejection, and material wastage through process improvement.
- Support production planning and ensure on-time delivery (OTD).
- Participate in Kaizen, continuous improvement, and cost reduction initiatives. These responsibilities closely match common production engineering roles in fabrication and manufacturing companies in the Talawade/Pune industrial area.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of fabrication and welding processes
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Production planning and shop floor management
- Understanding of MS, SS fabrication
- Basic knowledge of ERP/MS Excel
Salary
₹3.0 LPA – ₹4.0 LPA (Based on experience and interview performance)
