Position Objective
This is not a conventional Senior Checker role. The selected candidate will become the technical lead and Local Operations Lead for India engineering team. In addition to checking drawings, the individual will lead the India team, coordinate with the US office and help build the engineering function from the ground up.
Primary Responsibilities
- Review and approve all detailing work before submission.
- Ensure compliance with US detailing and fabrication standards.
- Lead the India engineering team.
- Train and mentor Detailers.
- Coordinate directly with the US management team.
- Maintain quality standards and review processes.
Mandatory Technical Requirements
- 8+ years of steel detailing experience.
- Strong Tekla Structures experience (Advance Steel is an advantage).
- Proven experience as a Checker.
- Hands-on experience with US structural steel projects.
- Strong understanding of fabrication and erection drawings.
- Comfortable working on full-scope projects (model + drawings).
Leadership Requirements
- Experience leading or mentoring a team.
- Ability to conduct technical interviews.
- Ability to train junior engineers.
- Strong ownership and decision-making ability.
- Good planning and coordination skills.
Pay: ₹900,000.00 - ₹1,400,000.00 per year
