Job Responsibilities:
- Should have knowledge about Ms office & CRM support
- Reading material and research industry-specific terminology
- Write e-mails and/or do calls in German language to clients
- Translating e-mails from English to German and vice-versa
- Ensuring translated text conveys original meaning and tone
- Correct usage of cross-reference specialized dictionaries and translation tools to check the quality of translation
- Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy
- Co-ordination between internal team members and clients
- Edit content with an eye toward maintaining its original format (e.g., font and structure)
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a German translator
- C1 level from Goethe Institute or masters degree in German language is compulsory
- Fluency in German and English is a must
- Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors
- Good knowledge of content editing tools
- Familiarity with translation software
- Time-management skills
- Multi-tasking is necessary
- Must be proactive
- Knowledge of finance, accounts and advanced excel would be an added advantage
