Job Title: Senior Engineer (Solar)
Role Summary
The Supervisory / Team Lead – Solar Projects is responsible for leading site execution teams for rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV projects. This role ensures efficient manpower management, high-quality installation, safety compliance, and timely completion of projects while coordinating with internal teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Supervision
- Lead and supervise technicians, electricians, and installation teams.
- Assign daily tasks and monitor workforce productivity.
- Provide on-site technical guidance and resolve operational challenges.
- Train junior engineers and technicians on installation standards and safety practices.
- Ensure discipline, teamwork, and effective communication at site.
2. Site Execution & Monitoring
- Supervise installation of solar modules, mounting structures, inverters, and AC/DC cabling.
- Ensure work execution as per approved drawings and technical specifications.
- Monitor project progress and maintain adherence to project timelines.
- Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality standards.
3. Safety & Quality Control
- Ensure strict compliance with safety policies and PPE usage.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Implement quality control measures to avoid rework.
- Ensure proper earthing, lightning protection, and electrical safety compliance.
4. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with Project Manager, procurement team, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Maintain communication with clients and site representatives.
- Support inspection activities and third-party audits.
- Coordinate with DISCOM authorities if required.
5. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR).
- Maintain installation checklists and quality inspection records.
- Track manpower attendance and material usage.
- Support commissioning and final handover documentation.
Required Skills & Competencies

- Technical knowledge of solar PV systems and electrical installations.

Qualification & Experience
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical / Renewable Energy.
- 3–5 years of experience in Solar EPC / Site Execution.
- Prior experience in leading site teams preferred.
