Responsible for end-to-end management of the homestay, including guest experience, daily operations, property upkeep, and coordination with vendors. The role ensures smooth functioning, high guest satisfaction, and consistent property standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Guest Management
- Handle guest inquiries, bookings, and confirmations (Airbnb, direct, etc.)
- Coordinate check-ins and check-outs smoothly
- Welcome guests and provide basic orientation of the property
- Address guest queries, complaints, and special requests promptly
- Maintain high guest satisfaction and reviews
2. Property Maintenance
- Ensure the property is clean, functional, and well-maintained at all times
- Conduct routine inspections of rooms, bathrooms, utilities, and common areas
- Identify and report repair needs (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.)
- Coordinate with vendors and technicians for maintenance work
- Monitor inventory of supplies (linen, toiletries, cleaning materials)
3. Housekeeping Management
- Supervise cleaning staff or perform cleaning if required
- Ensure rooms are prepared as per standards before guest arrival
- Maintain hygiene and presentation standards across the property
- Manage laundry, linen changes, and restocking
4. Operations & Coordination
- Maintain booking calendar and avoid double bookings
- Coordinate with platforms like Airbnb, Booking.com, etc.
- Maintain records of guest details as per local regulations
- Ensure compliance with local homestay guidelines and safety norms
- Manage utility usage (electricity, water, internet)
5. Vendor & Supply Management
- Coordinate with suppliers for groceries, toiletries, and essentials
- Negotiate with local vendors for cost efficiency
- Maintain stock levels to avoid shortages
6. Security & Safety
- Ensure basic safety protocols (CCTV, fire safety, first aid)
- Verify guest IDs and maintain records where required
- Handle emergency situations responsibly
Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in hospitality, hotels, or property management preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of maintenance (huge plus, saves your sanity)
- Ability to multitask and handle unpredictable situations
- Comfortable using smartphones/apps for bookings and communication
Working Conditions
