Assistant Retail Manager
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
· Assist the Store Manager in day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing activities.
· Support sales initiatives to help achieve daily and monthly targets.
· Ensure high standards of customer service and resolve routine customer queries.
· Assist in supervising store staff, shift scheduling, and attendance monitoring.
· Monitor staff performance and provide on-the-job guidance and support.
· Support inventory management including stock receiving, shelf replenishment, and FIFO practices.
· Assist in controlling shrinkage, damages, and basic loss-prevention activities.
· Ensure accurate billing processes and support cash handling and reconciliation.
· Maintain store cleanliness, hygiene, and visual merchandising standards.
· Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and safety guidelines.
· Support implementation of in-store promotions as per company instructions.
Qualifications
· Graduate in any discipline.
· 3-4 years of experience in retail or supermarket operations.
· Basic knowledge of POS systems and inventory management.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Preference for candidates from Palakkad
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
