Job Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving hotel revenue by generating new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and achieving sales targets across corporate, travel agents, government, wedding, MICE, and leisure segments. The role focuses on maximizing room occupancy, banquet revenue, and overall hotel profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and develop new corporate, government, and institutional clients.
- Generate room, banquet, conference, and event business.
- Develop relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, and online partners.
- Conduct regular sales visits, presentations, and client meetings.
- Prepare and execute monthly sales action plans.
Revenue Generation
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Maximize hotel occupancy and banquet revenue.
- Promote room packages, food & beverage offers, and special promotions.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling hotel services.
Client Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
- Handle corporate account negotiations and contract renewals.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Resolve client concerns promptly and professionally.
Sales Planning & Marketing
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
- Develop sales strategies to increase market share.
- Coordinate promotional campaigns with the marketing team.
- Participate in trade fairs, exhibitions, and networking events.
Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Present sales performance and forecasts to management.
- Track sales pipeline and conversion ratios.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achievement of monthly and annual sales targets.
- Room revenue growth.
- Banquet and event revenue.
- Occupancy contribution.
- Number of new corporate accounts acquired.
- Client retention rate.
- Sales conversion ratio.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA (Marketing) is an added advantage.
Experience
- 3–7 years of experience in hotel sales or hospitality sales.
- Experience in corporate sales, MICE, banquet sales, and key account management preferred.
