About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior WordPress Developer to join our growing development team. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. This is an excellent opportunity for freshers or developers with up to 2 years of experience to build their careers while working on real-world projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites.
- Customize WordPress themes and plugins based on project requirements.
- Build responsive web pages using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript.
- Install, configure, and update WordPress themes and plugins.
- Troubleshoot website issues and fix bugs.
- Optimize website performance and page speed.
- Assist in website migrations, backups, and deployments.
- Work closely with designers, senior developers, and project managers.
- Follow coding standards and best practices.
- Perform website testing across multiple browsers and devices.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of WordPress CMS.
- Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Basic knowledge of PHP and MySQL.
- Familiarity with Bootstrap or other responsive frameworks.
- Knowledge of Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg is a plus.
- Understanding of WordPress themes and plugins.
- Basic knowledge of Git version control is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Knowledge of WooCommerce is an added advantage.
- Basic understanding of SEO-friendly website development.
- Familiarity with website hosting, cPanel, and FTP.
- Experience with page speed optimization is a plus.
