Staff Nurse – Infection Control Nurse (ICN)Qualification
- GNM / B.Sc Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing.
- Valid Nursing Council Registration.
- Certification or training in Infection Prevention and Control will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Experience in Infection Control, Quality, NABH, or Hospital Accreditation preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor hospital infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
- Conduct surveillance of Hospital-Acquired Infections (HAIs) and maintain infection control records.
- Monitor hand hygiene compliance and infection control practices across all departments.
- Conduct regular infection control audits and submit reports to management.
- Coordinate with microbiology laboratory for infection surveillance and data analysis.
- Investigate infection outbreaks and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Train and educate healthcare workers on infection prevention practices.
- Ensure proper biomedical waste management as per statutory guidelines.
- Monitor sterilization and disinfection processes in clinical areas.
- Participate in NABH accreditation activities, quality improvement programs, and committee meetings.
- Monitor antibiotic stewardship initiatives in coordination with clinicians.
- Prepare monthly infection control reports and present findings to the Infection Control Committee.
- Ensure compliance with national and international infection control standards.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) practices.
- Familiarity with NABH standards and quality management systems.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Good communication and training abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and hospital information systems.
Reporting To
- Quality Manager / Medical Superintendent / Infection Control Committee.
Preferred Competencies
- Knowledge of NABH Accreditation Standards.
- Experience in conducting audits and surveillance activities.
- Ability to analyze infection data and implement corrective actions.
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
