Job Summary
The Nutraceutical Production Chemist will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring the manufacturing of nutraceutical products in accordance with approved Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and quality standards. The role involves ensuring efficient production operations while maintaining product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute manufacturing activities as per approved Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR).
- Operate and monitor production equipment and manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, hygiene, and safety requirements.
- Verify raw materials, packaging materials, and production documents before use.
- Monitor critical process parameters and maintain production records.
- Coordinate with the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) departments during production.
- Minimise process deviations and report any abnormalities to the Production Manager.
- Ensure proper cleaning, line clearance, and equipment sanitation before and after production.
- Maintain production logbooks, equipment records, and batch documentation accurately.
- Support production planning to achieve daily and monthly production targets.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
- Participate in process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce wastage.
- Follow all EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) guidelines within the manufacturing facility.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of GMP, GLP, and documentation practices.
- Understanding of nutraceutical manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with production equipment and manufacturing operations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work in shifts, if required.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office).
Preferred Knowledge
- Experience in tablets, capsules, powders, sachets, syrups, gummies, or other nutraceutical dosage forms.
- Knowledge of ISO, FSSAI, HACCP, or other applicable quality standards.
