Senior Lead Software Engineer - Manufacturing Test Systems
Required Skills
- 8–10+ years of hands-on software development experience with strong expertise in Java and Python
- Proven ability to translate high-level project goals into clear software requirements, architecture, interfaces, milestones, and acceptance criteria
- Experience serving as a hands-on technical lead for junior engineers, including task breakdown, design guidance, implementation support, code reviews, and technical decision-making
- Strong industry experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software systems, automation frameworks, and manufacturing test platforms
- Proven ability to break down complex projects into well-defined tasks and components that junior engineers can execute independently
- Strong object-oriented design, modular application development, scripting, API integration, and external system integration experience
- Experience with source code control and CI/CD pipelines such as Git, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions
- Experience working in agile development environments with clear execution planning, dependency management, and technical risk tracking
- Strong debugging, system-level analysis, and problem-solving skills across software, firmware, hardware, and manufacturing environments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to align cross-functional stakeholders and communicate technical plans, risks, and status clearly
Basic Job Deliverables
- Define requirements, architecture, interfaces, milestones, and acceptance criteria for Java/Python-based post-silicon factory test infrastructure
- Serve as the hands-on technical lead for project execution, guiding junior engineers through design, implementation, testing, integration, and delivery
- Decompose high-level project goals into actionable engineering tasks with clear ownership, dependencies, and expected outcomes
- Design and implement robust, maintainable, and scalable software components for manufacturing test infrastructure
- Conduct design reviews and code reviews to ensure quality, reliability, maintainability, and alignment with project requirements
- Develop and implement robust debug strategies to resolve complex system-level and manufacturing issues
- Partner with AMD engineering teams, manufacturing teams, and contract manufacturing partners to drive implementation, deployment, and optimization
- Identify technical risks, resolve complex issues, and improve existing tools, workflows, development practices, and methodologies
Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
Experience Level
- Minimum 8 years of software development experience, including software/firmware development, test automation, and Java/Python-based application development
- Demonstrated experience acting as a senior technical contributor or technical lead on multi-engineer projects
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and driving execution through clear requirements, architecture guidance, task breakdown, and review checkpoints"
Pay: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹2,600,000.00 per year
