Data Scientist
Location: Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune
Experience: 5+ Years
Job Description:
- Analyze enterprise datasets (sales, marketing, trade promotion, pricing, inventory, media spend) to generate actionable insights.
- Build forecasting and time-series models (baseline and advanced) for demand, KPI trends, and scenario planning.
- Develop and evaluate marketing mix models (MMM) and incrementality frameworks where applicable.
- Create clear KPI definitions, metric layers, and semantic consistency across data sources and dashboards.
- Design experimentation/validation strategies, including back testing, holdout sets, and error decomposition.
- Translate analytical findings into stakeholder-ready narratives, visuals, and recommendations.
- Partner with data engineering to productionize feature creation, data validation rules, and scheduled refreshes.
- Develop PowerBI dashboards and/or curated reports that support self-serve decision making.
- Maintain documentation for assumptions, model limitations, and recommended usage patterns.
Additional Skills:
- Python (pandas, statsmodels, scikit-learn), Prophet or equivalent
- SQL; notebook-based analysis workflows
- PowerBI; data modeling for BI (semantic layer/measure definitions)
- Azure / Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse/Warehouse) - preferred
- Version control (Git) and documentation practices
