Role Summary
The Technician (Contract) will support daily operations related to equipment handling, basic troubleshooting, preventive checks, and assistance to engineers in maintaining smooth production/test activities. The role requires hands-on support, adherence to safety and quality practices, and timely reporting of issues.
Key Responsibilities
Operational & Technical Support:
- Support day-to-day activities for test/production equipment and associated fixtures/tools.
- Perform basic equipment checks (power, connectivity, alarms, interlocks) as per SOP.
- Assist engineers in equipment setup, changeover, and validation activities.
- Support installation/removal of modules, cables, and accessories under guidance.
- Execute basic troubleshooting and escalate abnormal conditions to engineers/supervisor.
- Maintain proper housekeeping of work area, tools, and spares.
Preventive Maintenance (PM) & Documentation
- Assist in scheduled preventive maintenance activities as per checklist.
- Record PM activities, observations, and actions taken in logs or tracking systems.
- Maintain documentation (checklists, handover records, downtime notes, spares usage).
Quality & Safety Compliance
- Follow EHS standards, PPE requirements, and cleanroom/ESD practices.
- Follow SOPs, work instructions, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Support incident reporting and corrective action implementation as per guidelines.
Material Handling & Coordination
- Support spare parts tracking, labeling, and storage as per defined process.
- Coordinate with internal teams for part movement and basic inventory updates.
- Assist in packing/unpacking activities for equipment movement, when required.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Basic knowledge of Electrical/Electronic fundamentals (voltage, current, continuity, grounding).
- Ability to use basic tools: multimeter, hand tools, connectors/cabling handling.
- Basic understanding of safety practices, ESD awareness, and disciplined work habits.
- Willingness to learn equipment procedures, follow checklists, and work as part of a team.
- Good communication skills for reporting and coordination.
- Basic understanding of automation/handlers/testers.
- Familiarity with documentation systems/log sheets or MES tools.
- Ability to work in shifts and support urgent operational needs.
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
