Job Purpose (Significance of the Role & Objectives)
As a battery lab technician, you have to work under general to limited supervision, and perform duties related to routine and non-routine testing, including testing of a complex nature. This position requires an experienced professional with hands-on experience in all aspects of battery testing. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with determination.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

Willing to work a combination of early and late shifts to provide extended test support coverage.

Responsible for operating Battery Pack and Module validation and life cycle testing, including installation, setup, diagnostics and reporting.

Work closely with the Engineering team to optimize capability and deliver high-quality test results.

Aware and should be able to operate HV battery pack, module and cell testers and CAN-based development tools to deliver tests.

Perform basic electrical testing and diagnostics.

Analyze and interpret test data to support diagnostics and reporting.

As required, support standard and exploratory battery abuse tests according to specifications defined in conjunction with the engineering team.

Work with others in a cross-functional environment and follow written and verbal instructions.

Maintain a safe working environment and speak up against unsafe practices.

Identify areas of test process improvement, designing and ordering tools and equipment to continuously improve the lab.

Desired Qualifications: Required Qualification, Knowledge, and Experience

At least 02 - 04 years of relevant experience as a degreed technician from electrical or mechanical.

Excellent attention to detail while following instructions.

Expert at using hand tools.

Experience using electrical test equipment such as multimeter and resistance tester.

Basic knowledge and proper handling of battery cells.

Familiarity with the safety aspects of HV batteries and battery testing.

Working knowledge of Excel and Word programs.

Familiar with electrical schematics.

High voltage certification standards.

Working knowledge of CAN communication.
