Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and analytical E-commerce Purchase Manager to manage product procurement, vendor relationships, inventory planning, and cost optimization across our e-commerce business. The ideal candidate will ensure timely product availability, negotiate the best commercial terms, and work closely with sales, warehouse, and marketplace teams to maximize profitability while maintaining healthy inventory levels.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Vendor Management
- Source and onboard new suppliers and manufacturers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQs, and contracts.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Evaluate supplier performance on quality, pricing, and delivery.
Purchase Planning
- Prepare purchase plans based on demand forecasts and sales trends.
- Raise Purchase Orders (POs) and track execution.
- Ensure timely replenishment to avoid stock-outs.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for inbound inventory.
Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels across all warehouses.
- Optimize inventory turnover while minimizing excess stock.
- Reduce dead stock and slow-moving inventory.
- Plan inventory for seasonal sales, promotions, and new launches.
Cost & Margin Management
- Identify opportunities to reduce procurement costs.
- Improve product margins through strategic sourcing.
- Analyze landed costs and optimize freight expenses.
- Maintain profitability without compromising quality.
Marketplace Coordination
- Ensure product availability across Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, and D2C channels.
- Coordinate with marketplace teams for promotions and inventory planning.
- Prevent stock-outs during high-demand periods.
Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly procurement reports.
- Track inventory ageing, purchase performance, and supplier KPIs.
- Monitor demand forecasts and purchase accuracy.
- Present insights and recommendations to management.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Maintain stock availability above 98%.
- Reduce stock-out rate below 2%.
- Achieve annual procurement cost savings of 5–10%.
- Maintain supplier on-time delivery above 95%.
- Improve gross margins through strategic sourcing.
- Reduce inventory ageing and dead stock.
- Ensure Purchase Order accuracy above 99%.
- Maintain forecast accuracy above 90%.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA is preferred.
Experience
- 4–8 years of experience in procurement or purchasing.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an e-commerce or marketplace business.
- Experience with Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, or D2C brands is preferred.

Pay: ₹16,881.46 - ₹25,000.00 per month
