Job Description: Design Manager – Residential Interior ManufacturingJob Summary
The Design Manager is responsible for leading the Design, Pre-Production, and Execution teams to ensure seamless delivery of residential interior projects. The role oversees the complete design-to-execution workflow, ensuring designs are technically sound, production-ready, and executed on site as per quality, timeline, and customer expectations. The Design Manager also manages relationships with B2B partners and drives collaboration across design, manufacturing, and execution teams. This role has no sales or business development responsibilities.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign Leadership
- Lead and mentor the Interior Design team to deliver high-quality and practical design solutions.
- Review and approve layouts, production drawings, material specifications, and technical documentation.
- Ensure all designs comply with company standards and are optimised for manufacturing and installation.
- Manage team performance, workload allocation, and capability development.
Pre-Production Management
- Lead the Pre-Production team responsible for shop drawings, BOMs, cut lists, and manufacturing documentation.
- Ensure designs are technically accurate and production-ready before release to manufacturing.
- Drive design standardisation and minimise production errors through effective reviews.
- Manage design revisions and engineering changes throughout the project lifecycle.
Execution Team Management
- Lead and supervise the Project Coordinators/Site Execution team to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Monitor project progress from manufacturing through installation and final handover.
- Coordinate with Production, Logistics, Installation, and Quality teams to achieve project milestones.
- Resolve execution challenges related to design, manufacturing, and site conditions.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within quality standards, and in accordance with approved designs.
- Conduct regular project review meetings and monitor execution KPIs.
B2B Partner Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for B2B partners on all design and execution-related matters.
- Coordinate design approvals, technical discussions, and project planning with partner teams.
- Ensure partner deliverables meet company quality and operational standards.
- Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with key business partners.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Production, Procurement, Quality, Planning, and Operations teams.
- Ensure seamless coordination between Design, Manufacturing, and Site Execution.
- Drive continuous improvement in design, pre-production, and execution processes.
Key Skills

- Strong understanding of residential interior manufacturing and modular furniture.
- Excellent project planning, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Expertise in production drawings, shop drawings, BOM preparation, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Experience working with B2B partners, architects, developers, or channel partners.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
