We are looking for a Journalist cum Producer who can handle the complete content production process, from research and story development to scripting, field reporting, interviews and coordinating the final production.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and develop news stories, topics and content ideas.
- Conduct interviews with relevant individuals, experts and public figures.
- Write clear, engaging and fact-based scripts.
- Handle on-ground reporting and gather information from reliable sources.
- Coordinate with the camera, editing and production teams.
- Plan and execute video content from concept to final production.
- Prepare questions and briefing notes for interviews.
- Verify facts, figures and information before publication.
- Stay updated on current affairs, politics, agriculture and other relevant topics.
- Work closely with anchors and content teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Assist in developing content for YouTube and other digital platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication or a related field.
- 7–12 years of experience in journalism, digital media, news production or content production preferred.
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
- Good understanding of current affairs and news developments.
- Ability to conduct interviews and report confidently on camera when required.
- Strong Hindi communication skills; English proficiency will be an advantage.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple stories simultaneously.
- Basic understanding of video production and digital content platforms.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in political, agricultural or current-affairs journalism.
- Good networking and source-building skills.
- Experience with YouTube or digital news platforms.
- Ability to identify trending and relevant stories.
- Strong storytelling and editorial judgment.
