Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented MEP Site Engineer to oversee all Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) works for our premium residential development. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality execution, coordinating with consultants and contractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Waterproofing
- Supervise all waterproofing works including terraces, podiums, toilets, balconies, utility areas, water tanks and basements.
- Verify surface preparation before application.
- Ensure products are applied as per manufacturer specifications.
- Witness and document ponding and water-retention tests.
- Maintain quality records and inspection reports.
Plumbing & Drainage
- Supervise installation of water supply, drainage, sewage and rainwater systems.
- Ensure proper slopes, pipe routing and support systems.
- Coordinate pressure testing, leak testing and commissioning.
- Verify compliance with approved plumbing drawings.
- Monitor STP, sump, overhead tank and pump room installations.
HVAC
- Supervise installation of VRF/Split AC piping, ventilation systems and exhaust systems.
- Ensure correct refrigerant piping, insulation and condensate drainage.
- Coordinate testing, balancing and commissioning.
- Verify compliance with design specifications.
Electrical
- Supervise HT/LT electrical works.
- Monitor conduit installation before concreting.
- Ensure proper cable laying, cable tray installation and panel installation.
- Verify earthing, lightning protection and bonding systems.
- Coordinate transformer, DG, UPS and backup power systems.
- Supervise testing and commissioning of all electrical systems.
Fire Protection
- Supervise installation of sprinkler systems, hydrants, hose reels and fire pumps.
- Ensure proper installation of fire alarm systems, detectors and emergency lighting.
- Coordinate statutory inspections and testing.
- Ensure compliance with National Building Code and Fire Department requirements.
Quality Control
- Inspect workmanship at every stage.
- Raise and close quality observations.
- Ensure only approved materials are used.
- Maintain QA/QC documentation.
- Coordinate third-party inspections wherever required.
Coordination
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants and site engineers.
- Resolve clashes between architectural, structural and MEP services.
- Attend weekly coordination meetings.
- Ensure work proceeds according to the construction schedule.
Documentation
- Review shop drawings before execution.
- Verify as-built drawings.
- Maintain daily progress reports.
- Record inspections, test reports and material approvals.
- Assist in preparation of handover documentation.
Safety
- Ensure all MEP works comply with site safety procedures.
- Conduct toolbox meetings with contractors.
- Ensure safe electrical work practices and permit systems.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 8-15 years of experience in residential or commercial high-rise construction.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, fire fighting and waterproofing systems.
- Experience coordinating with consultants and contractors.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings.
- Knowledge of Indian Standards, NBC, CPWD specifications and relevant electrical and fire safety codes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office. Knowledge of Revit MEP is an added advantage.

Scope in brief :
1.Manage the planning, design, and implementation of MEP systems including Fire Safety in construction projects
2.Ensure compliance with industry standards, local codes, and safety regulations.
3.Coordinate with project managers, architects, and contractors to align MEP systems with project requirements.
4.Review
the MEP drawings and specifications, if any queries is there should rise the RFA
5 .Monitor the progress and quality of MEP installations.
6.Resolve technical issues and provide the proper solution to MEP labour/Contractor.
7.Prepare and manage the MEP budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
8.Oversee the commissioning ,testing and handover of MEP systems.
NOTE: Experience must in High rise residential Buildings.
