Job Description: Banquet Sales Manager
Department: Sales & Events | Reports to: Director of Sales / General Manager | Location: [Hauz Khas Village]
Role Overview
The Banquet Sales Manager is responsible for driving banquet and event revenue by identifying sales opportunities, converting leads, building strong client relationships, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver successful events. The role requires a strong understanding of hospitality sales, banquet operations, client servicing, pricing, and event execution.
Key Responsibilities
· Generate banquet, catering, wedding, social event, and corporate event business through proactive sales efforts, referrals, walk-ins, calls, and digital inquiries.
· Meet prospective clients, understand event requirements, conduct venue show rounds, and prepare customized proposals and quotations.
· Negotiate packages, pricing, menus, room layouts, terms, and contracts while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
· Coordinate with F&B, kitchen, housekeeping, front office, finance, and operations teams to ensure smooth planning and execution of events.
· Prepare and maintain banquet event orders, function sheets, contracts, sales reports, and client records accurately.
· Follow up with clients for confirmations, advances, payments, feedback, and repeat business opportunities.
· Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, local demand, and seasonal opportunities to maximize banquet revenue.
· Achieve monthly and annual banquet sales targets, revenue goals, and conversion targets.
· Maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, wedding planners, event agencies, social groups, and repeat customers.
· Ensure all events are delivered as per agreed standards, timelines, safety requirements, and guest expectations.
Required Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
· Minimum 3–5 years of experience in banquet sales, event sales, catering sales, or hotel sales.
· Experience in hotels, resorts, banquet halls, convention centers, or premium event venues preferred.
· Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing high-value events.
· Strong knowledge of banquet operations, food and beverage services, event planning, and client coordination.

· Good understanding of event menus, banquet layouts, pricing, and revenue management.

· Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, POS systems, and hotel/property management software preferred.
· Professional grooming, customer-focused attitude, and ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and event days.
Key Performance Indicators
· Monthly banquet revenue achieved versus target.
· Lead conversion ratio and proposal-to-confirmation ratio.
· Number of new accounts, repeat clients, and referral business generated.
· Client satisfaction scores and post-event feedback.
· Timely collection of advances, payments, and documentation.
· Accuracy and completeness of event orders, contracts, and internal communication.
Working Conditions
This role may require extended working hours during events, weekends, holidays, and peak wedding or corporate event seasons. The banquet sales manager must be available for client meetings, site inspections, event briefings, and on-site coordination as required.
Compensation: Salary will be commensurate with experience and industry standards. Incentives or commission may be applicable based on banquet revenue achievement and company policy.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
