Qualification:
- ITI (Electrician) from NCVT/SCVT or equivalent.
- Valid Electrical Workman's Permit (EWP) issued by the West Bengal Licensing Board (Electrical) for the class of work performed.
- Fresher can apply this job.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of all electrical installations throughout the hospital campus.
- Maintain LT panels, distribution boards, MCCBs, MCBs, changeover panels, switches, sockets, and lighting systems.
- Maintain electrical supply to Operation Theatres, ICUs, wards, laboratories, imaging departments, pharmacy, research areas, offices, hostels, kitchens, and other hospital facilities.
- Operate and monitor DG sets, UPS systems, transformers, capacitor banks, batteries, and emergency power systems.
- Attend emergency electrical faults on a 24×7 duty roster .
- Inspect electrical rooms, panels, cables, and equipment regularly to identify hazards and defects.
- Maintain emergency lighting, exit lights, and essential electrical services.
- Ensure proper earthing and electrical safety throughout the campus.
- Replace defective electrical components using approved materials and standard practices.
- Maintain daily logbooks, preventive maintenance records, breakdown registers, and work orders.
- Assist statutory inspections, audits, NABH assessments, fire safety inspections, and electrical safety compliance activities.
- Ensure proper housekeeping in electrical rooms, substations, DG rooms, and panel rooms.
- Follow Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), fire safety procedures.
- Report unsafe electrical conditions immediately and recommend corrective actions.
- Supervise contractors performing electrical work within the hospital premises.
- Support energy conservation initiatives and monitor electricity consumption.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Engineering Manager or Hospital Management.
- Skills Required:
- Electrical troubleshooting.
- Reading electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.
- Knowledge of DG sets, UPS systems, transformers, LT panels, and hospital electrical infrastructure.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation.
- Good communication and teamwork.
Pay: ₹11,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
