We are looking for a Product Designer Team Lead with strong technical expertise in furniture manufacturing and product engineering. The ideal candidate should be capable of leading a design team while ensuring all products are optimized for production, quality, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the furniture design team and supervise day-to-day design activities.
- Develop and validate production-ready furniture designs.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, BOMs, assembly details, and manufacturing specifications.
- Work closely with production and procurement teams to ensure efficient execution.
- Resolve design and manufacturing challenges through practical engineering solutions.
- Monitor prototype development and product testing activities.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and production standards.
- Drive improvements in design workflows and manufacturing processes.
Required Skills
- Advanced knowledge of furniture construction and manufacturing techniques.
- Expertise in SolidWorks, Rhino, Blender, or equivalent CAD software.
- Strong understanding of woodwork, metal fabrication, hardware, and material selection.
- Ability to create and review technical documentation.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Product Design, Furniture Design, Mechanical Design, or related discipline.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in furniture manufacturing or product development.
- Experience coordinating with production teams and vendors.
