s a Civil Engineer specialized in project controls, you will be responsible for the financial and operational success of construction projects. Your role bridges the gap between the initial budget and the final delivery, ensuring that resources are optimized, timelines are met, and quality standards are never compromised.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimation & Costing: Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and detailed cost estimates. You will analyze blueprints to determine material requirements, labor costs, and equipment needs, while managing vendor negotiations to ensure competitive pricing.
- Project Monitoring: Conduct regular site inspections to track physical progress against the master schedule. You will utilize project management tools to identify potential delays and implement corrective actions to keep the project on track and within budget.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the central point of contact between architects, site supervisors, and contractors. You will facilitate technical meetings, resolve design conflicts, and ensure that all on-site activities align with the approved engineering drawings and local regulations.
Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and CAD software
- Competencies: Strong analytical skills for risk assessment, exceptional communication for multi-party coordination, and a deep understanding of construction sequences and Indian Standard (IS) codes.
