We are looking for a compassionate and well-spoken Surgery Counsellor to guide patients through their surgical journey. The role involves explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring patients are comfortable and well-informed before and after surgery.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel patients regarding eye surgeries (e.g., cataract, LASIK, etc.)
- Explain treatment plans, procedures, risks, and benefits clearly
- Coordinate with doctors and clinical teams for surgery scheduling
- Handle patient queries, concerns, and follow-ups
- Maintain counselling records and documentation
- Support conversion of consultations into surgeries in an ethical manner
- Provide emotional support and build patient confidence
- Ensure smooth patient flow from consultation to surgery
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in any field (Healthcare background preferred)
- 1–3 years of experience in counselling / patient coordination / hospital operations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle patients with empathy and patience
Preferred Skills
- Experience in an eye hospital or healthcare setup
- Knowledge of ophthalmology procedures
- Malayalam & English fluency (Hindi is an added advantage)
- Basic computer skills
