Position Title
Assistant Manager- Credit Control (Power Sector)
Position Summary
The role is focused on Accounts Receivable (AR), Credit Control, and Collections Management within an EPC/project-based business environment. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring timely collections, monitoring receivables, managing milestone-based invoicing, and supporting cash flow management through effective stakeholder coordination and reporting
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
Drive collections by following up on overdue payments with customers and internal stakeholders.Monitor accounts receivable and ensure compliance with agreed credit terms.
Reconcile customer accounts, invoices, receipts, and ledgers to maintain accurate records.
Manage milestone-based billing and invoice tracking for EPC projects.Monitor overdue balances, retentions/withheld amounts, and outstanding receivables.
Coordinate with project, sales, finance, and site teams to resolve billing and collection issues.
Prepare and publish MIS reports such as Collection Reports, Ageing Analysis, Collection Forecasts, Retention Reports, and Project-wise Receivable Dashboards.
Analyze payment trends, ageing, and collection performance to provide management insights.
Support cash flow forecasting, working capital planning, audits, and customer balance confirmations.Monitor customer credit exposure and ensure adherence to approved credit limits
Critical Success Factors - Essential
Strong experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, and Collections.Background in EPC, Infrastructure, Power, Electrical, Industrial, or Project-based businesses with milestone-linked billing.
Good understanding of project contracts, payment milestones, retentions, and customer reconciliations.
Strong analytical and reporting capabilities with expertise in SAP and Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Dashboards).
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills
5-8 years of relevant experience
Travel Requirement: Approximately 50%
