Snapmint is looking for a highly hands-on Senior Backend Engineer (SDE III) who enjoys writing production code while driving the architecture of complex backend systems.
This role is suited for engineers who thrive in solving non-trivial technical challenges, designing scalable systems, and building high-performance services that power a rapidly growing fintech platform.
You will influence technical direction, mentor engineers, and take ownership of critical backend components.
What We’re Looking For:

6–10 years of backend development experience

Strong programming expertise in Node.js (preferred) or another modern backend language

Experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems

Experience building event-driven or asynchronous architectures

Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles

Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases

Experience building systems on cloud infrastructure

Strong experience with microservices architecture and API design
Preferred Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of performance optimization and scalability patterns

Experience designing low-latency or high-throughput services

Prior experience in a high-growth product company

Contributions to open-source projects are a plus
