Job Description: Fashion Designer – kids- Boys’ Casual Shirts
Position Overview
As a Garment Fashion Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative styles for Kids boys’ casual shirts and men’s casual shirts. This role plays a key part in translating market trends, customer preferences, and brand identity into commercially successful garments within a garment manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design Conceptualization & Development
- Research current fashion trends, market demands, and customer preferences.
- Develop creative design concepts and sketches for Kids-boys’ and men’s casual shirts.
- Create mood boards, colour palettes, fabric stories, and seasonal themes.
- Ensure designs align with brand positioning and commercial viability.
2. Pattern Development & Prototyping
- Convert design concepts into detailed technical sketches and specifications.
- Collaborate with pattern masters and sample tailors to develop prototypes.
- Conduct fit trials and make necessary adjustments for fit, comfort, and styling.
- Ensure designs are production-friendly and cost-effective.
3. Fabric & Trim Selection
- Source and select suitable fabrics, trims, and embellishments for each design.
- Coordinate with fabric and trim suppliers to ensure quality, availability, and timelines.
- Evaluate fabric performance, durability, and suitability for garment construction.
4. Sample Review & Approval
- Review development and pre-production samples for design accuracy, fit, and quality.
- Provide clear feedback to sampling teams for corrections and improvements.
- Approve final samples for bulk production in line with design and quality standards.
5. Collaboration with Production & Merchandising Teams
- Work closely with production teams to ensure design feasibility and cost control.
- Coordinate with merchandising teams to align designs with buyer requirements and delivery schedules.
- Participate in design review meetings and contribute to seasonal design strategies.
- Responsible for sharing costing details to Merchandiser team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Fashion Designer in the garment manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of kids’ casual wear, especially shirts.
- Knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment construction, and production processes.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD tools.
- Strong sense of colour, fit, and market trends.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with garment manufacturers or export houses.
- Exposure to buyer interactions and sample development cycles.
- Ability to work under tight timelines in a fast-paced environment.
Shift Time: 10 to 7

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
