Position Title:-Resident Medical Officer (RMO) – Gynecology
Department:-Gynecology & Obstetrics Department
Reporting To:-Consultant Gynecologist / Medical Superintendent
Job Summary:-
The Gynecology RMO is responsible for providing medical care to patients in the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department under the supervision of consultant doctors. The RMO assists in patient assessment, emergency management, labor room duties, inpatient care, and coordination of treatment plans to ensure quality healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:-
* Examine and assess gynecology and obstetric patients.
* Monitor admitted patients and maintain proper medical records.
* Assist consultants during patient rounds, procedures, and surgeries.
* Handle emergency cases in labor room and gynecology department.
* Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
* Prescribe medications and treatments as per hospital protocol and consultant guidance.
* Attend deliveries and assist in obstetric emergencies when required.
* Coordinate with nursing staff and other departments for patient management.
* Maintain accurate documentation, case sheets, discharge summaries, and reports.
* Ensure timely investigation and follow-up of patients.
* Counsel patients and relatives regarding treatment plans and procedures.
* Follow hospital policies, infection control, and patient safety standards.
* Participate in emergency duties and rotational shifts.
Required Qualification:-
* MBBS/BAMS from a recognized institution.
* Valid Medical Council Registration.
* Experience in Gynecology & Obstetrics preferred.
Required Skills:-
* Good clinical and emergency handling skills.
* Knowledge of obstetric and gynecological procedures.
* Effective communication and patient counseling skills.
* Ability to work in emergency and critical care situations.
* Teamwork and professional ethics.
Working Conditions:-
* Rotational shifts including night duties and emergency calls.
* Hospital and labor room environment.
* High-pressure emergency care situations may occur.
Experience:-
* Fresher or experienced candidates can apply.
* Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Gynecology/Obstetrics preferred.
Pay: ₹20,668.56 - ₹50,242.47 per month
