A Sales Manager of the Rooms Division oversees room revenue and occupancy strategies. Key Responsibilities
- Revenue Optimization: Track booking pace, analyze market competitors, and establish dynamic pricing strategies alongside the revenue and reservations teams to maximize yield. [1, 2, 3]
- Sales Strategy Execution: Proactively generate and close corporate accounts, group bookings, and event room blocks. Maintain relationships with tour operators, travel agents, and key national accounts. [1]
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Bridge the gap between sales and operations. Brief the Front Office and Housekeeping teams on VIP arrivals, special requests, and group itineraries to ensure flawless execution. [1, 2]
- Upselling & Promotions: Design training modules for front-desk staff to promote upgrades, packages, and cross-selling amenities to increase per-guest revenue. [1, 2]
- Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare short-term and long-term occupancy forecasts, analyze sales statistics, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) like ADR (Average Daily Rate) and RevPAR. [1, 2, 3]
