As a Services Associate, Firm Risk, Compliance, and Governance Services on the Risk & Brand Protection team, you will be responsible for:
- Developing working knowledge of Deloitte U.S. Firms’ independence policies
- Performing personal independence audits by reviewing submitted materials for compliance with firm requirements
- Identifying financial interests, researching findings, and documenting audit procedures and potential policy violations
- Interacting with auditees and coordinating with USI and U.S. team members on audit matters
- Managing multiple audits simultaneously, tracking progress, and reporting issues to management
The team
The Risk & Brand Protection group is responsible for strategic, confidential and regulatory driven operations which include assurance of the independence of the firm and its partners, principals, directors and professionals, apart from a host of other compliances of professionals of the U.S. and US India (‘USI’) offices.
Location: Hyderabad
Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM or 2 PM to 11 PM IST
Qualifications
Required:
- Intermediate examinations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India passed
- Successful completion of three years’ articleship
- Experience reviewing audit materials for compliance with policy requirements
- Knowledge of U.S. income tax returns
- Knowledge of financial instruments and their impact on independence assessments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Preferred:
- Experience supporting compliance audits or independence reviews
- Experience documenting audit procedures, findings, and conclusions
- Experience researching financial interests using databases and online sources
