Role overview
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Piping & Plant Layout Draftsman to join our engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and managing engineering drawings, 2D/3D plant layouts, and technical documentation across multiple process plant projects.
Experience required - 2–5 Years
Qualification - Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering
Key responsibilities -
- Preparation of 2D and 3D plant layouts using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Plant 3D, or equivalent design software.
- Preparation and modification of engineering drawings including PFD, P&ID, BFD, GA drawings, isometric drawings, and fabrication drawings in accordance with project requirements and applicable standards.
- Preparation of Technical Datasheets (TDS) and active coordination with engineering and project teams for drawing revisions, review cycles, and formal approvals.
- Development of equipment layouts, piping layouts, structural layouts, and utility routing for CBG, Biofuel process plant facilities.
- Coordination with procurement, fabrication, and site execution teams to incorporate practical field and construction requirements into drawings and plant layouts.
- Maintaining drawing records, revision control, and documentation standards to ensure timely submission of all engineering deliverables in line with the project schedule.
Requirements
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); knowledge of SolidWorks or AutoCAD Plant 3D is an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience with P&ID, isometric, GA, and fabrication drawing preparation.
- Familiarity with process plant engineering standards and drawing conventions.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering documents, specifications, and technical datasheets.
- Good coordination and communication skills for cross-functional team interaction.
- Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple drawings simultaneously, and adherence to project deadlines.
