Role Summary:
A Social Studies Teacher is responsible for teaching subjects like History, Geography, Civics, and Economics to help students understand society, culture, and the world around them.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging Social Studies lessons according to the school curriculum.
Teach topics such as History, Geography, Civics and basic Economics.
Prepare lesson plans, worksheets and teaching materials.
Encourage students to develop critical thinking and awareness about society and culture.
Conduct class activities, discussions, projects and presentations.
Assess students through tests, assignments, and projects.
Maintain student records and monitor academic progress.
Create a positive and interactive classroom environment.
Participate in school meetings, events, and co-curricular activities.
Guide students in developing good citizenship and social responsibility.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Studies / History / Geography or related subject.
B.Ed (preferred for school teaching).
Good communication and classroom management skills.
Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of Social Studies subjects
Good teaching and presentation skills
Ability to engage and motivate students
Organizational and planning skills
