Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Team Leader for our Education Consultancy to lead our counselling and admissions team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, guiding counsellors, achieving team targets, improving student engagement, and ensuring a smooth admission journey for students.
The candidate should have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in the education consultancy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and motivate a team of education counsellors/admission executives.
- Monitor team performance and ensure achievement of monthly admission and revenue targets.
- Provide training, coaching, and support to team members to improve counselling skills and productivity.
- Handle escalated student/parent queries and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Develop strategies to improve student conversions and counselling effectiveness.
- Track team KPIs, prepare performance reports, and share updates with management.
- Ensure proper follow-up processes for leads, applications, and admissions.
- Coordinate with universities, colleges, and internal departments for smooth operations.
- Maintain strong knowledge of courses, admission processes, and education market trends.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation of team members.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical counselling practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
- 1-2 years of experience in education consultancy, student counselling, admissions, or related fields.
- Minimum 1 year of team handling/leadership experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good understanding of sales processes and lead conversion strategies.
- Ability to work under targets and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with study abroad consultancy, universities, colleges, or training institutes.
- Experience managing counselling/sales teams.
- Knowledge of admission processes and student recruitment.
