PRODUCTION MANAGER
Job description:
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Production Manager to lead and manage production operations at BLW Engine Valve Pvt. Ltd. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient manufacturing operations while achieving production targets, quality standards, productivity, cost, delivery and safety objectives.
The role requires strong technical knowledge of forging, conventional machines, CNC turning, grinding and machine shop operations, along with proven leadership and manpower management skills.
The Production Manager will drive operational excellence through effective resource planning, OEE improvement, breakdown and rejection reduction, Kaizen, 5S, cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and implement IATF 16949 requirements.
- Oversee daily production activities as per production schedules and quality standards.
- Manage and guide the production team to achieve operational targets.
- Develop production strategies to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Monitor production KPIs and performance metrics and take corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a strong safety culture.
- Coordinate with Design and Engineering teams to improve processes and product quality.
- Prepare and manage the production budget for effective resource utilization and cost control
- Oversee and manage the entire production process efficiently.
- Ensure production meets quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
- Prepare production schedules and optimize manpower, machines, and resources.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase, and HR departments.
- Monitor production performance and take corrective actions for delays or issues.
- Implement continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the production team.
- Resolve production problems through effective root-cause analysis and problem-solving.
- Drive operational efficiency and production excellence in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

Qualifications & Requirements:
· Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field is required.
· Experience: 7+ years, preferably in the automobile industry.
- Soft Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Technical skills: Must have knowledge of forging, conventional, CNC, Turning& Grinding.
