Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer – PHP Laravel (Backend Developer) to join our growing development team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in PHP, Laravel Framework, MySQL, REST APIs, and backend application development. The candidate will be responsible for building secure, scalable, and high-performance web applications while working closely with designers, QA engineers, and project managers.
Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Backend Development
- Develop and maintain scalable web applications using PHP and Laravel.
- Build reusable and modular backend components.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Develop custom features based on business requirements.
- Ensure application performance and reliability.
2. Laravel Framework
- Develop applications using the latest Laravel versions.
- Create Controllers, Models, Routes, Middleware, Events, and Jobs.
- Work with Laravel Eloquent ORM.
- Manage Laravel Migrations, Seeders, and Artisan Commands.
- Configure Queues, Cache, Scheduler, and Storage.
3. Database Management
- Design relational databases using MySQL.
- Create optimized SQL queries.
- Design tables, indexes, and relationships.
- Perform database optimization.
- Manage backups and data integrity.
4. API Development
- Develop RESTful APIs.
- Integrate third-party APIs.
- Create secure authentication using Laravel Sanctum or Passport.
- Handle JSON responses.
- Test APIs using Postman.
5. Frontend Integration
- Integrate frontend designs with backend logic.
- Work with HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript, AJAX, and jQuery.
- Support responsive web design.
- Coordinate with UI/UX designers.
6. Authentication & Security
- Implement Login and Registration modules.
- Manage Roles and Permissions.
- Secure applications against SQL Injection, XSS, and CSRF.
- Implement password encryption.
- Follow Laravel security best practices.
7. Performance Optimization
- Optimize application speed.
- Improve database performance.
- Reduce server response time.
- Implement caching techniques.
- Monitor application health.
8. Bug Fixing & Troubleshooting
- Debug production issues.
- Fix application bugs.
- Analyze error logs.
- Resolve technical issues within timelines.
- Maintain application stability.
9. Version Control
- Work with Git and GitHub.
- Manage repositories.
- Create Pull Requests.
- Resolve merge conflicts.
- Follow branching strategies.
10. Deployment
- Deploy applications on Linux servers.
- Configure Apache or Nginx.
- Manage SSL certificates.
- Configure Cron Jobs.
- Handle production deployments.
11. Documentation
- Prepare technical documentation.
- Document APIs.
- Update project documentation.
- Maintain coding standards.
12. Team Collaboration
- Participate in sprint planning.
- Coordinate with Project Managers.
- Work with QA Engineers.
- Attend daily stand-up meetings.
- Provide technical solutions.
