JOB DESCRIPTION
The Business Development Manager - Technology Solutions at The Marcom Avenue will be responsible for driving business growth through the acquisition of new clients, nurturing existing client relationships, and exploring new market opportunities. The ideal candidate will leverage their experience in business development or pre-sales to create and implement effective strategies that align with the company's goals, ensuring consistent revenue generation and long-term partnerships. This role requires strong communication skills, a tech-savvy mindset, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue Target Achievement:
- Achieve revenue targets for tech solutions by building and maintaining an efficient sales pipeline.
- Increase product visibility and collaborate with the sales team to identify and explore new business opportunities.
- New Client Acquisition:
- Identify and pursue new prospects in target regions.
- Research products currently used by potential clients and generate leads based on their needs.
- Account Growth:
- Develop opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to existing clients through strategic account planning.
- Track and manage license upgrades, change requests, and explore additional service opportunities.
- Proposal Management:
- Prepare commercial responses for RFPs and design innovative business models to meet client requirements.
- Conduct market analysis to obtain competitive pricing for tech solutions.
- Sales Support:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all sales-related requirements.
- Provide relevant data and assist in preparing sales and marketing collateral.
- Support the implementation of sales plans in defined regions.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Experience:
- 6+ years of experience in Business Development or Pre-Sales in software products, platforms, or IT services.
- Proven track record of achieving $1-2 Mn+ in annual revenue targets and acquiring new clients.
- International sales experience preferred (US/UK markets).
- Skills:
- Skilled in preparing customized presentations, pitch decks, and conducting product demos.
- Expertise in RFP/RFI participation, preparing technical/commercial proposals, and commercial negotiations.
- Proficient in MS Excel for commercial modeling, cost/margin analysis, and profitability assessments.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with experience working with international clients.
- Education:
- B.E./B.Tech/MCA/MBA from a reputed institute.
- Preferred:
- Experience in tech project lifecycles, including software development, UI/UX, and delivery.
