Job Summary
The Assistant HR Manager supports the Human Resources Department in managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, statutory compliance, payroll coordination, and overall HR operations. The role ensures the implementation of HR policies and procedures while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Staffing
- Assist in manpower planning and workforce management.
- Coordinate recruitment activities including sourcing, screening, interviews, and onboarding.
- Prepare offer letters, appointment letters, and employment contracts.
- Maintain recruitment records and candidate databases.
- Coordinate joining formalities and employee induction programs.
Employee Relations
- Address employee queries and concerns professionally.
- Support employee engagement and welfare initiatives.
- Assist in grievance handling and disciplinary procedures.
- Promote a positive workplace culture and employee satisfaction.
- Maintain healthy employee-management relationships.
HR Operations
- Maintain employee personnel files and HR documentation.
- Monitor attendance, leave records, and shift schedules.
- Ensure timely updating of employee information in HR systems.
- Prepare HR reports and workforce analytics.
- Support daily HR administrative activities.
Performance Management
- Assist in implementing performance appraisal systems.
- Monitor probation evaluations and confirmation processes.
- Coordinate performance review meetings and documentation.
- Support departmental managers in performance improvement initiatives.
Training & Development
- Identify employee training and development needs.
- Coordinate orientation and induction programs.
- Organize workshops, training sessions, and competency assessments.
- Maintain training records and effectiveness reports.
Payroll & Compensation Support
- Verify attendance and leave records for payroll processing.
- Coordinate with finance/accounts for salary administration.
- Assist in salary revisions, incentives, and employee benefits administration.
- Ensure accuracy of payroll-related documentation.
Compliance & Policy Implementation
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory regulations.
- Assist in maintaining employee records related to PF, ESI, gratuity, and other statutory requirements.
- Implement and monitor HR policies and procedures.
- Support audits, inspections, and accreditation requirements.
Exit Management
- Conduct exit interviews and employee clearance procedures.
- Manage resignation, termination, and full-and-final settlement documentation.
- Analyze employee turnover trends and retention strategies.
Qualifications
- MBA /PG Diploma in Human Resource Management
- Knowledge of labor laws and HR practices
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Human Resources.
- Experience in healthcare or hospital industry preferred.
