We are looking for an experienced merchandiser who have worked for the likes of Bazaar Kolkata, Style Bazaar, Citi MArt, First Cry, Shopperstop.
Below are the requirements :
- Receive buyer inquiries/tech packs and prepare cost sheets (FOB/CMT)
- Source fabric, trims, and factories; negotiate price and lead time
- Manage sampling (proto, fit, PP, TOP) and get buyer approvals
- Build and track a Time & Action (T&A) calendar
- Follow production, resolve delays/quality issues, and coordinate inspections
- Handle documentation, shipment booking, and buyer communication
- Report order status to management and the buyer
- Degree/diploma in fashion technology, textiles, apparel merchandising, or a related field (experience can outweigh the degree)
- 10-15+ years in garment/export merchandising (Knits)
- Strong English (written + spoken); local languages often needed in Asia
- MS Excel, email, and basic ERP/PLM; costing and T&A skills
- Negotiation, coordination, and problem-solving under tight deadlines
