Key Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness
- Dispense medications correctly and efficiently
- Provide patient counseling on dosage, usage, side effects, and drug interactions
- Ensure compliance with state pharmacy laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and controlled substances
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as required
- Check expiry dates and ensure proper storage of medicines
- Handle insurance claims and billing (if applicable)
- Supervise pharmacy assistants and support staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy
