Position: Quality Engineer
Department: Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC)
Reporting To: Quality Manager / Plant Head
Kalyani Green Enviro is engaged in the field of Water and Wastewater Treatment Project Equipment Manufacturing with two manufacturing units located in Dehugoan, Taluka Haveli, Dist. Pune We are looking for a young, dynamic, and enthusiastic Sales Proposal and Project Engineer to support our Sales & Marketing team.
Job Purpose
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all incoming materials, in-process manufacturing activities, and finished products meet the required quality standards, customer specifications, engineering drawings, and applicable industry standards. The role focuses on preventing defects, improving manufacturing quality, ensuring compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Incoming Material Inspection
· Inspect raw materials, bought-out components, and consumables received from suppliers.
· Verify materials against Purchase Orders, Material Test Certificates (MTCs), drawings, and specifications.
· Prepare Incoming Inspection Reports (IIR).
· Coordinate with Purchase for supplier quality issues and corrective actions.
· Approve or reject incoming materials based on inspection results.
2. In-Process Quality Control
· Conduct stage-wise inspection during fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, painting, and testing.
· Ensure manufacturing is carried out as per approved drawings and work instructions.
· Monitor dimensional accuracy, workmanship, and process compliance.
· Identify defects and initiate corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
· Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where required.
3. Final Inspection & Testing
· Perform final inspection before dispatch.
· Verify dimensions, material specifications, welding quality, painting quality, and functional performance.
· Prepare Final Inspection Reports (FIR).
· Witness customer inspections when required.
· Ensure products are released for dispatch only after quality approval.
4. Documentation & Quality Records
· Maintain inspection reports, quality checklists, calibration records, and test certificates.
· Prepare Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
· Maintain material traceability records.
· Ensure proper documentation for customer and ISO requirements.
· Control quality documents and revision records.
5. Quality Assurance
· Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
· Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality work instructions.
· Participate in internal and external quality audits.
· Monitor implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
· Promote continuous quality improvement initiatives.
6. Supplier Quality Management
· Evaluate supplier quality performance.
· Coordinate supplier corrective actions for rejected materials.
· Assist in vendor qualification and quality assessments.
· Monitor supplier quality trends.
7. Customer Quality Support
· Attend customer inspections and audits.
· Resolve customer quality concerns and complaints.
· Coordinate root cause analysis and corrective actions.
· Support project teams in meeting customer quality requirements.
8. Measuring Instruments & Calibration
· Maintain calibration records for measuring instruments.
· Ensure proper use and storage of inspection equipment.
· Monitor calibration due dates and arrange timely calibration.
· Verify the accuracy of measuring tools before use.
9. Safety & Compliance
· Ensure compliance with safety procedures during inspections.
· Promote safe working practices within production areas.
· Follow company quality, environmental, and safety policies.

Educational Qualification
· B.E. / B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering
· Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (with relevant experience)
· Certification in Quality Management, Welding Inspection, NDT, or ISO Internal Auditor will be an added advantage.
Experience
· Quality Engineer: 1–3 years of experience in Engineering, Fabrication, Process Equipment, Industrial Machinery, Water & Wastewater Equipment, or Manufacturing.
· Fresh Mechanical Engineers with strong technical knowledge and interest in Quality may also be considered.
