We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HVAC Installation Technician specializing in large-scale commercial and industrial HVAC infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings extensive hands-on experience in executing end-to-end installations for VRF systems, ductable units, and packaged units, ranging from 500 HP to 1000 HP capacity. Mastery in copper piping layout, precision brazing, and adherence to stringent industry standards are mandatory prerequisites for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- System Installation: Execute complete, end-to-end mechanical installations of VRF systems, ductable split units, and packaged air conditioning units for commercial projects ranging from 500 HP to 1000 HP.
- Copper Piping & Brazing: Perform precise measurement, cutting, bending, and nitrogen-purged brazing of large-diameter copper refrigerant lines to ensure zero-leakage systems under high operational pressures.
- Ductwork & Ventilation: Oversee or assist with the installation, hanging, and sealing of GI ductwork, insulation, and air distribution terminals in alignment with engineering blueprints.
- Pressure Testing & Evacuation: Conduct rigorous pressure testing using dry nitrogen, deep vacuum evacuation, and electronic leak detection protocols in compliance with strict HVAC quality codes.
- System Commissioning Support: Assist engineering teams with refrigerant charging, electrical hookups, initial startup procedures, and diagnostic troubleshooting of newly installed units.
- Site Safety & Compliance: Ensure all site operations comply with local safety regulations, utilizing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling practices for heavy equipment and refrigerants.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Industry Experience: Proven, verifiable background with a minimum of 5 years of dedicated hands-on experience working directly within the HVAC installation industry.
- Scale & Capacity Expertise: Documented history of managing and executing complete installation projects within the 50 HP to 100 HP capacity range.
- Technical Specialization: Advanced technical proficiency in Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF), ductable units, and packaged rooftop/ducted systems.
- Brazing & Piping Mastery: Demonstrated expertise in high-pressure copper piping, fittings, and certified nitrogen-purged brazing techniques.
- Blueprint Literacy: Ability to accurately read, interpret, and execute complex HVAC schematics, isometric piping drawings, and architectural layouts.
- Credentials: Relevant technical certification, diploma, or trade license in HVAC technology, refrigeration, or mechanical services.
Preferred Competencies
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting aptitude during complex site installations and integration phases.
- Ability to mentor, direct, and oversee junior technicians and site installation crews.
- Flexibility to adapt to demanding project timelines and travel to various commercial job sites as required.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
