Key Responsibilities:
Estimation & Tendering
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, URS, BOQs, and client requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for:
- Clean room HVAC systems
- Air Handling Units (AHUs)
- Terminal HEPA/ULPA filtration systems
- Ducting and piping systems
- Chilled water systems
- VRF/DX systems (where applicable)
- Ventilation and exhaust systems
- Clean room partitions, doors, and ceilings
- Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Environmental Monitoring Systems (EMS)
- Perform quantity take-offs from HVAC and clean room layouts.
- Prepare detailed BOQs and cost breakdowns.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
- Develop technical and commercial proposals in accordance with client specifications.
Technical Evaluation
- Understand clean room classifications as per:
- ISO 14644
- GMP Guidelines
- FDA Requirements
- EU GMP Standards
- Analyze requirements related to:
- Air Changes per Hour (ACH)
- Differential pressure cascades
- Temperature and humidity control
- Particle concentration limits
- Airflow patterns and containment
- Verify compliance of proposed systems with project standards and regulations.
Costing & Value Engineering
- Calculate material, labor, testing, commissioning, and validation costs.
- Conduct value engineering studies to optimize project costs.
- Identify project risks, exclusions, and contingencies.
- Maintain updated pricing databases for HVAC and clean room materials.
Vendor & Client Coordination
- Coordinate with equipment manufacturers and suppliers for pricing and technical clarifications.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, technical discussions, and site surveys.
- Respond to client RFIs and tender queries.
- Support project execution teams after project award.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain tender documentation and estimation records.
- Prepare bid comparison statements and management reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of proposals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–10 years of experience in HVAC estimation with exposure to clean room projects.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, semiconductor, electronics, healthcare, or laboratory projects preferred.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of clean room HVAC design principles.
- Understanding of airflow calculations and pressure cascade design.
- Familiarity with HEPA/ULPA filtration systems.
- Knowledge of GMP and ISO clean room standards.
- Proficiency in:
- AutoCAD
- MS Excel (Advanced)
- HAP / TRACE 700 / Carrier E20
- Estimation and ERP software
- Ability to interpret HVAC schematics, P&IDs, and clean room layouts.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
