Role objective
The AutoCAD Designer will prepare accurate, execution-ready drawings for rooftop solar, ground-mounted solar, solar carports, leakproof solar roofs, BIPV and related electrical infrastructure projects. The designer will convert site measurements, photographs, survey information and technical instructions into clear drawings that can be used for customer approval, estimation, procurement and site execution.
Key responsibilities Solar layout preparation
Prepare module-layout drawings for RCC roofs, metal roofs, elevated structures, groundmounted projects and carports
. Accurately represent roof boundaries, obstructions, walkways, setbacks and maintenance access.
Mark water tanks, parapets, ducts, skylights, exhaust systems, trees and shadow-causing objects.
Prepare alternative layouts where required to optimise capacity and execution feasibility. Incorporate approved module dimensions, orientation, tilt and inter-row spacing. Structural and fabrication drawings
Prepare basic general-arrangement drawings for solar mounting structures.
Prepare drawings for purlins, module tables, walkway arrangements and structural member positioning based on inputs from the structural or project team.
Prepare leakproof solar-roof and carport layouts according to approved design inputs.
Incorporate structural revisions issued by authorised engineers.
Avoid independently approving structural adequacy unless specifically qualified and authorised. Electrical drawings
Assist in preparing: o Single-line diagrams.
Candidate requirements
Diploma or engineering qualification in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Drafting.
Approximately 1–3 years of professional AutoCAD experience.
Previous experience in solar, electrical, structural fabrication, PEB or construction drawings is preferred.
Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
Basic knowledge of SketchUp, PVsyst, Google Earth or similar software will be an advantage.
Ability to interpret site sketches, measurements and technical instructions.
Strong attention to dimensions, scale, alignment and drawing presentation.
Willingness to learn solar-design standards and Sauryouth’s drawing formats. Key performance indicators

Compliance with drawing-numbering and revision-control systems.
Quality of execution drawings.
Timely preparation of as-built drawings.
