Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Remote Support Engineer with 7+ years of experience in the marine industry to provide remote technical support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer assistance for marine navigation, communication, and automation systems. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in handling leading marine products such as Furuno, JRC, Cobham, Raymarine, Sailor, and other onboard marine electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote troubleshooting and technical support for marine navigation, communication, and automation systems onboard vessels.
- Support installation, configuration, maintenance, and diagnostics of marine products and systems from Furuno, JRC, Cobham/SAILOR, Raymarine, Intellian, Sperry Marine, walkie-talkies, VSAT, NAVTEX, radar, ECDIS, AIS, GMDSS, GPS, VHF/MF/HF radios, and other marine navigation and communication systems.
- Diagnose issues related to ECDIS, Radar, GPS, GMDSS, AIS, VSAT, Autopilot, Echo Sounder, and onboard networking systems.
- Coordinate with vessel crew, service engineers, vendors, and technical teams for issue resolution and operational support.
- Monitor vessel systems remotely and ensure uninterrupted operation of critical marine equipment.
- Perform software updates, remote configuration, preventive maintenance, and system health checks.
- Prepare service reports, troubleshooting documentation, and root cause analysis reports.
- Provide technical guidance and training to vessel crew regarding equipment operation and troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with maritime safety standards and company procedures.
- Handle customer escalations and provide timely technical solutions with minimal vessel downtime.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experienced in Marine equipment brands like FURUNO,JRC,SPERRY,SAM,DANELEC,SIMRAD,SKIPPER,NSR,KODEN,JOTRON,ANSCUTZ, YOKOGAWA,TOKIMEC/TOKIYOKEIKI
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Marine Engineering, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field.
Minimum 7+ years of experience in marine electronics, navigation systems, communication systems, or remote marine technical support.
