Key duties include assisting with daily living activities (bathing, feeding, medication management), monitoring health, offering companionship, and, in property roles, cleaning, security, and minor maintenance. - Personal Care & Health: Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility (transfers, walking).
- Medical Assistance: Reminding patients to take medication, administering basic health checks, and reporting changes in condition to families.
- Daily Living Support: Preparing meals, light housekeeping, laundry, and running errands.
- Companionship: Providing emotional support, engaging in conversation, and assisting with hobbies.
- Property Maintenance (if applicable): Monitoring security, cleaning, and managing facility supplies. Buddy Mobility Care +4
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Compassion and Patience: Essential for patient care, particularly with elderly or specialized care.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, transfer, or assist patients.
- Reliability and Trustworthiness: Ensuring consistent, safe care.
- Communication Skills: Ability to report accurately to family or medical staff.
- Experience/Certifications: Prior experience in caregiving or specialized training (e.g., CPR, certified nursing assistant) is often preferred
