Project Overview The "Empowerment of Women Farmers in Gadchiroli" project will work with tribal communities in the remote villages of Dhanora and Korchi blocks. It aims to strengthen women's institutions, climate-resilient agriculture, forest and livestock-based livelihoods, nutrition and health, inclusive participation, and evidence-based programme delivery. The approach emphasizes community ownership through women's SHGs, producer organizations, Gram Sabhas, government convergence, and sustainable local enterprises.
The coordinator will support the integration and implementation of a robust GESI framework at the grassroots level, working with communities and field teams across agriculture, biodiversity, livelihoods, climate change, and health to ensure marginalized groups are actively included in project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement project-specific GESI action plans and facilitate community consultations to ensure the participation of women and vulnerable populations.
Participate in project reviews and undertake field verification to track inclusive outputs and equitable delivery.
Support baseline and endline studies by integrating gender analysis and intersectional vulnerabilities.
Document GESI-focused best practices, lessons learned, and success stories for scaling and replication.
Coordinate timely and accurate collection and reporting of gender-disaggregated data.
Facilitate field-level workshops and prepare qualitative reports and knowledge products.
Travel extensively to project sites and engage directly with programme participants.
Qualification
A degree in Gender Studies, Sociology, Social Work, Rural Development, or a related field.
Experience
Languages:
Marathi and Hindi required; knowledge of Gondi or other regional dialects is highly desirable.
Period: Sep 2026 - May 2027 (8 months) Extendable for additional 2 years based on performance and project funding
