Job Summary: The Stitching Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and supervising all stitching operations related to embroidered garments and panels. The role ensures smooth production flow, adherence to quality standards, optimal manpower utilization, and timely completion of stitching as per production targets and company quality norms.
Qualification & Experience: Diploma or Graduate in Garment Manufacturing / Textile / Fashion Technology preferred. More than 10 years of experience in garment stitching operations. Prior experience in embroidery-based garment production is highly desirable
Required Skills and Responsibilities:
Strong knowledge of garment stitching operations and embroidery-integrated production.
Understanding of fabrics, thread behaviour, and stitching techniques
Knowledge of garment quality standards and workflow management.
Team handling and leadership skills.
Production planning and line management knowledge.
Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily stitching activities for embroidered garments and panels
- Ensure stitching aligns correctly with embroidery designs, placements, and specifications
- Achieve daily and monthly production targets while maintaining required quality standards
- Balance production lines and optimize workflow to minimize bottlenecks
Quality Control
- Monitor stitching quality, especially around embroidered areas to prevent damage, distortion, or puckering
- Reduce rework, alterations, and rejection through process improvements
- Ensure stitching meets company quality standards and buyer requirements
Manpower & Team Management
- Allocate operators, helpers, and supervisors as per production plans
- Manage attendance, discipline, productivity, and efficiency of stitching staff
- Train tailors on handling embroidered fabrics, special stitches, and quality expectations
- Motivate teams to achieve productivity and quality goals
Coordination & Workflow
- Coordinate closely with Production and Merchandising departments.
- Communicate production status, challenges, and delays to management
Machine & Maintenance
- Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of stitching machines and attachments
- Ensure safe handling of machines and accessories
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and workplace safety standards
Support audits, buyer visits, and internal quality checks
